The worldbuilding for the magic is really good. A lot of fantasy go for something more generic.

I love how all these characters who showed up as childhood villains all end up humanized as people and become free game for comic relief.

Even the asshole older brother prodigy was like "I'm too busy to be evil today, can we forget this whole execution thing so I can leave?"

The dramatic irony is so great. Both characters recognize each other and really don't want to draw attention to themselves, but each has no idea the other wants to pretend the past event didn't happen. Love this!

Amy's actually really funny to watch. Hopefully she isn't a dick and becomes friends with the MC.
