Been reading this one up to about chapter 40, so far I can say this series is pretty good. Nothing special but it’s enjoyable. One thing I like is how even though the main character’s other secret identity is a super high ranking adventurer who can use crazy magic he can’t just always depend on them to solve problems. So far things have been going a little too smoothly so I’m hoping for some kind of tragedy for more tension.

Why do I get the distinct feeling he's not fooling anyone and the prince with glasses and eldest princess genuinely are setting up MC to take over regardless of his desire? They way too happy for being told he's being given the reward position also unless they see something contrary to how they actively treat him in his presence.

Anyone going to keep going with this manga? The story's good, and Finne is tops--but Bookwalker's DRM can go straight to Hell.

Yeah, I honestly love this story. It’s one of my favorites for the OP MC trope, very memorable characters, great art style, and a solid plot so far. I’m guessing the reason no one picked it up is due to legal reasons since the English version is officially being published. It seems it’s already up to chapter 43 for the official releases.

So if he doesn't want to be king, why doesn't he fake his death and maintain his adventurer persona for the rest of his life instead? Like why go through the struggles of keeping a false identity when you can just leave one of them behind relatively easily.

i think the author of this might hate women, because every single one of them in this story is either a useless damsel, obnoxious and annoying, or an unholy combination of both.

Once again story where mc saying every chapter that "i want to do quite life and to not be bothered by all annoying stuff" but another character comes in and says "but you actually want to do all that stuff that you sworn to not do, right?" And he be like "yeah, i like doing stuff that i said i don't like to do".

What is that? How does this called even? I don't get it. Shadow garden at least honest with bs they push in the story.

Masochistic tendencies of Japanese authors?.. idk. Being honest with themselves is another taboo as it seems with this stories.

He's doing all of this to save his brother and mother. Normally in stories like these there is a purge after ascension.

Pretty sure elna is a sword saint and the elder sister is also equally vying for control. How do you see either of them as damsels in distress. Elna literally saved the king. How does that translate to hating women?

This manga has raws up to chapter 46--surely some skillful group out there can pick this up. Licenses shouldn't mean anything if this, this, and this can receive attention.
