Something strange, and the manga is making that strangeness clear as well.

He was quick to agree to surgery on an essential body-part, offered from a stranger (even if that stranger had the approval of friends), with a completely alien explanation, all while he had an alternative safe "solution" being offered (rest more).

There's going to be some sort of plot twist or complicating factor related to this. I just don't know what.

Amami also mentioned that this isn’t his field of specialty, so… we may see him running into complications during the surgery that are going to put the whole spirit festival they mentioned in problems

In hindsight, it makes so much sense that the Dwarves would face Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in their line of work. I like how the manga treats this fantasy setting while still keeping it grounded. I’m curious about how healing magic works in this world—whether it can't heal everything due to a lack of knowledge about the body, a limitation in the user's ability, or if the author intends to keep healing magic from being omnipotent.

Thanks for the translation

Ah this should be done easy peezy. Carpal tunnel surgery is pretty quick with the right equipment.

Every time I see Fia, I can't help but think of her as anime Billie Eilish. Were all of the church's priests, bishops and cardinal based on pop artists?

Also love the symbiotic relationship the dwarves and the vampires seem to share with one another.
I don't know if it's all, but I think in the comments a while back there were mentions of who all the six stars are likely based on, with them being music artists (like one of them being Elvis).

It seems like it might be the type that works off of boosting the body's natural healing and processes. So the more the healer knows the stronger it could be due to targeting, but then it also wouldn't work out on things like carpal tunnel where it's the body's structure causing the issue.
