Carpal tunnel as a diagnosis makes sense but I still don't understand how it can lead to death; As they mentioned hammer sickness does
It's more like career ending, which is still isn't life threatening. I think death part may have to be related to the 'festival', (you need to finish these objects or your people will be slaughtered) or become unemployable since there's guilds out of the ass since this a medieval world.

interesting chapter, also thanks whoever did the TL!

ah.. of course it is carpal tunnel, almost sure of it in previous chapter. this is also a syndrome that many manga artist very aware of im sure. also interesting that this time Amami admit that this is not his specialty. makes him more believable as a character since he could do most thing as a certified doctor, but not necessarily has 100% success rate in each cases.

the dwarves seems more likely to disrupt the surgery than the Church spy girl. because if Amami failed, then the blame will be put on "Human Race" not Amami as a person. because only his friend know he is not from any human faction, let alone the select few Elder who knew he is from another world.

Seems like healing magic only works againts infection and physical trauna
Sounds like its boosting natural progress, but when it comes to structural damage, it either has no effect or could probably make it worse (like turning a benign tumor metastic)

"If nae plans tae play /.../" Pig Latin? I get that the translator chose the dwarves to be british (despite the mangaka), but this is terribly overdone and unreadable.
