Yep. The key clue was that the pain shifted locations. That's usually a good sign of appendicitis. Once they mentioned that, that's what I immediately thought.
Not even the shifting of locations. When I had appendicitis, mine ruptured pretty bad, but the pain never spiked for me. It just eventually got bad enough that I couldn't fall asleep a day later, leading to hospital. To me it was that the pain was intestinal in the first place, and appendicitis is the obvious go-to for severe debilitating intestinal pain.
Real talk tho, if his appendix ruptured and the doc wasn't super close, he'd actually probably just die. Ruptures are really fuckin bad, easy to just get peritonitis or even sepsis. That shit'll kill you fast, and do lasting damage well before that. Kid's lucky
