I do wish there was a little breather with multiple plots. I may need to reread but who are these goons who are trying to burn the forest? MC is fighting the witch, and we have this other side plot about burning the forest at the same time. I'm assuming he's going to protect the forest or stop them from harming it to gain the respect of the werewolf, but who knows.
