@YumoYumo : Her punishment came before her bad acts. There was no indication that she was a bad person before crap happened to her. But after it happened to her, she broke it off with her fiance, couldn't face her parents, failed to abort the baby. Then the baron threatened her and made her his spy and in return she got his "protection". So she vented all her stress, and anger out on the other maids.

She was definitely WRONG in attempting to poison and assassinate someone. But to say she was "unpunished" is wrong.
