they could argue that since the Dragon's lvl is so high the hero's party wasnt a threat to her so she used excessive force no? And I dont know if they would say the place she was at was her home since she is forced to be there by magic. Not gonna lie, this is starting to feel unnecessarily convoluted. Granted that is this genres bread and butter, but it would be obvious who his next witness should be. Who else had an opportunity to sabotage the pendent, the one who created it.
And when that avenue doesn't pan out, you start questioning the motives of the individuals who sent them.
But even that feels irrelevant because this whole farce comes down to a home invasion, the intent to steal someone else's possessions, the attempted murder of the treasures guardian, and said guardian's justified self defense.
What should now be happening is the defense lawyer closing down this case, and filing their own case against the kingdom for trespassing, attempted murder, and an attempt to defraud the Goddesses Court of Justice, or whatever combination legalese words that that would be.
The party had already said that they had well prepared for the fight, and the dragon has already said it was surprised by the sudden death of the vanguard, so I think that argument doesn't pan out. The Dragon had used what it reasonably thought was an appropriate amount of force, and what even the hero party thought was reasonable to come from the dragon (and what they had prepared for).they could argue that since the Dragon's lvl is so high the hero's party wasnt a threat to her so she used excessive force no?
The jury has the final say in the ruling. The majority of the kingdoms subjects may believe it’s for the “public good” to have the hero (someone that looks and acts like them) to be better than a “savage and unsocial” destruction dragon in it’s ruling. Not gonna lie, this is starting to feel unnecessarily convoluted. The MC has already proven that the Dragon's intent was self defense and attempted to use non-lethal force to guard the tresure. He has also shown that the kingdom and heroes party were less then honest when bringing this case to court. The jury has the final say in the ruling. Also the payoff are usually more powerful in this type of storytelling.
Nah, it's already been proven that her response wasn't thought excessive, by either side. The protections they had should have, if used correctly, protected them from multiple breath attacks.they could argue that since the Dragon's lvl is so high the hero's party wasnt a threat to her so she used excessive force no?
