I have to admit I got a kick out of that scene with her heart dancing to his smile. Pretty boys be dangerous for her. I wonder if he's more interested in her as a model or as a bunny.

Agreed the fairytale is shallow as fuck. Especially when you consider that it actually had two sisters and one was dumb but pretty and the other smart and ugly and all it teaches you is it doesn't matter if you're an idiot cos if you're pretty things will go your way anyway. Really autor? This is the message you want to send to your readers? Especially since it contradicts the whole previous arc about set standards of beauty. Wow, just wow. No comments.

Cindirella would have been way more interesting. Can't create new look? Let me give you the concept I came up in literally 10 seconds after he said no can do. A traditional Chinese Cindirella with traditional Chinese makeup and clothes, with jade traditional slippers instead of glass ones and performing a fan or a sword dance since they didn't dance in pairs like in medieval Europe. There, just did your fucking job for you in 10 seconds.

I love this series but God this chapter just pissed me off.

is it just me or does this give off a "you stole my weed" vibe

I think this story could bring about a very interesting makeup look. Do you guys know why the Prince transforms? The obvious answer is "The prince said the fairy gave her magic" but the other explanation is that the Prince doesn't change physically at all. Instead the Princess thinks of all his good qualities and to her, he is the most handsome man in the kingdom because of them. Perrault ends his story with a verse about how when one loves someone/something, they seem beautiful to them. The story has its faults (the portion with the ugly sister and the fact that he just fell in love at first sight) but all fairytales do. Literally in Little Mermaid's modern telling, she's mute for most of the time and the prince falls in love cause she's pretty. The story also plays with people's fantasies of putting beauty and intelligence together. I think it gives them a lot of room to tell an interesting story through makeup vs. Cinderella which I don't think gives them as much creative room. Also most people have too strong of an image of Cinderella. That's just what I think.
