@Liedral It was just an excellently crafted holy sword that a hero that was called the "Sword God" used, that everyone praised as this amazing holy sword. It's likely it was just overhyped or it's power had greatly diminished since the time of the Sword God or, the most likely I'd guess, the vampire that turned asshat noble #2 was some insanely powerful elder type vampire, so he isn't at the level of your standard vampire.
