I get what you mean, and you're right inasmuch as they may put up with that quality because it doesn't outweigh their sexual attraction, or her sexual attraction may color that quality as attractive.

But in this case-- especially since she became enamored with him before she saw his naked body-- I get the sense that she's specifically attracted to him because she feels he's the kind of person she can't leave alone (she might be describing feelings of moë, now that I think about it).
