it's really nice to see Ayano getting some support in her life and be able to shake off some of that eldest daughter syndrome (though I suppose she technically has an older sister). Also can't wait to see Kanon explore her thoughts on why her deeply closeted friend doesn't seem to talk about herself very much.
Yep, we already had a small hint of that in the sleepover chapters when Kanon realized she hadn't seen Saki's dad, or for that matter a sign of their presence, but stopped herself from asking. Kanon seems to be inching closer to the realization that while Saki knows a lot about her, her family, and past she knows very little about Saki outside of what she presents to the world, and Saki is so damn private and keeps things internalized while smiling that Kanon likely knows more about Saki than anyone but her mom, and finding herself increasingly uncomfortable with that fact.
I also think that remark from Ayano about Kanon holding Saki's hand and being there for Saki if something goes wrong is definitely foreshadowing something that shakes her up badly, and my bet is somebody maliciously outing her in public.
