My guess: High Humans are legends. People don't exactly have much scale and consider many of the things they did myth. By saying that "he knew his master, he is stronger than Schnee and Girard and that is because he is a High Human" put thinks in a perspective they can understand and also makes sure that they understand that he isn't joking or talking in metaphor, that Shin IS that strong and if you do dumb you and the area around you gets deleted from existence.
The villains ... uh ... "lack that information" since they only know what their pet spy told them. So yeah ... hilarity ensues.

The good ol' furry male is basically a full animal meanwhile the furry female is a woman with some animal accesories.

Beast king and many of his relatives could transform between more humanlike and more beastlike forms.
But his advisors stayed in beastlike forms all the time.
I guess it varies by species, with wolves, foxes and other animals associated with shapeshifting having a more humanlike form.

When all those characters were nonstop praising Shin, calling him more or less the most dangerous person in the world, yet also saying he's benevolent if not aggravated, I was already feeling like I'm watching a Steven Seagal movie.

This is the manga where the world's most prominent religion worships MC as a god.

I think he wanted to avoid specifically telling that "he is the Black Blacksmith" since Shin values his privacy. Granted with that Information (and the fact Shin has a rather specific Fashion sense ) they probably can put 1 and 1 together anyway since there are only 6 High Humans but they seem smart enough to understand why this is kept a "badly kept" secret.

In other news, the "Bad Guys" just put a very specific plan into action, amd have decided to enter the "Fuck Around" portion of the famous "FAFO Plan."

Though... it would be cool to see some of the banned words in a manga...

Side note. Not exactly subtle with the naming here if you know who Tamamo no Mae is in Japanese myths.

Yeah they say he's a "strong throwback" which was their local term for "chosen one". I assume the Bear dude and Offbrandt Tamamo are also Chosen ones. They also note he reeks of blood ... but I get the feeling they are coming to the wrong conclusion. I think they believe because of that he is "secretly murderous" ... when he smells like that because "he hunted murderers with absolute vengeance". I guess they learn soon enough.

I dunno how I feel about this arc. On the one hand, it does seem like something is going to finally happen that isn't the result of Shin doing a side quest, but on the other hand, it doesn't feel like there is much direction in the story right now. Like Shin, be a little selfish and do something that benefits you.
