Tiera hasn't fought people before? I didn't remember that. But then again, it's not really an ultra violent world. That being said, it's not necessarily wise to try to have her avoid it entirely. In adventuring, exploring and travelling in general, you never know when you might encounter bandits and such. If you hesitate then, it would be costly.

Actually, in chapter 24 she sniped a bandit with her bow with zero hesitation. The same chapter where she brought back Shin from his killer (player) mood by pressing his face between her breasts.

I think it might be more like full scale war he wants her to avoid. There is a difference between fighting off 1-10 people and hundreds to thousands of people killing each other.

Even if it where a 9 or 20 tails fox, we know that Shin can beat it. Thats one of the downsides of the "OP MC" trope, it takes away any tension.
I tend to avoid mangas with too strong main character, but this one was interesting. Seeing a game world turning reality is nothing new, but this manga made it right.

Now this arc been quite boring. Then again, every feudal Japan arc in fantasy mangas are over prolonged and insufferable, not even One Piece could avoid it.

Can’t wait to see actual big fights again in this manga. It’s been a long time since we had anything on the caliber of Shin vs his beast man friend. Hopefully the nine-tailed fox fight becomes something fun.

Thanks for the translation as always! One of my favorites. I just wish the anime had more time to simmer.

that's because you have the wrong mindset, there's not supposed to be any tension, it's not about whether or not he can beat something, it's about HOW he will do it and how cool it will be.

For example, stories like Superman or Onepunch Man should not be read with the intent on wondering whether they will win a fight or not. They will. The struggle is not about the fight, but moral or mental issues.

This kind of story can actually have tension because there are decently developed side characters, who aren't as overpowered as Shin. Something can theoretically happen to those secondary characters, despite Shin himself never being in real danger and despite his best efforts to protect everyone. In quite a few isekai this wouldn't work either because readers might not really give an honest damn about any of the characters. That being said, I'd say in this series' particular case you are correct because I don't see this story getting anyone important killed.

Karin: "Just pay attention as much as you can. He has short black hair."
Where are you ever going to find someone like that in Hinomoto? Shin must stick out like a sore thumb. That said, the rest of her description reminds me of how people were described in pre-modern times. At most you get one single factoid that's an actual physical description, and even then that's as likely to be some lost metaphor as not. The rest of the descriptions are vague personality descriptors, also likely a metaphor that's lost on anyone not from that time and place. At least Karin stopped herself just short of saying that Shin had dreamy eyes and kissable lips.
