@Sandy Shin was the only one logged into the game when it turned into a death game. They're still hanging around in the original world.

My question is: When did these players get to this world, in the time line I mean, cause if I'm not wrong, hasn't it been 500 years since Shin beat Origin? Didn't they say when they were talking about high beastmen lifespans was only something like 250 years. The only thing I can think of is they came to sometime in that 500 years, but that still is a stretch. What I'm saying is this timeline makes little sense...

@Sephantis from what I understand so far: the players were actually real people trapped in a game. the story sets 500 years in the game, which is now a functional real world, after shin had defeated the last boss and players were sent back to the world where they were from. the support characters are ones that players create during the game and it seems like they have unusual life-span

@GhGod i think their actual players considering a “player killer” is alive and well as one of the people that returned, I think one of the requirment is the player dying in the death game as mentioned the cat died in the game as so are the other guys and he wished for his lover (who is a player that died) to maybe res and meet her again. NPC’s he asked for are the NPC his guildmates had the 6 divas.

@GhGod greatninja3 has the right of it, these people we met in this chapter are players who died when it was a death game, before Shin beat Origin of course, so my question was, when did these players find themselves in this new world? before Shin beat Origin, did Origins defeat release them to the world if so have they been there for 500 years or did they appear sometime in between?

@Sephantis if i remember correctly holy and shadow woke 30 bzw. 40 years ago in the new world up, it was also said that their time of death has nothing to do with the time difference between their arrivals.

@Niemand Thank you, that was something that I just couldn't seem to wrap my head around with the information in just the manga. I just kept thinking that they died before Origins defeat, then what was happening to them for all that time.

This was a great chapter but as others have said, they glossed over a lot, probably half of a volume in the LN. This is a great time for people to read the LNs because of this monthly release cycle! English translations done over at shin translations (google it)

I have a question from one of the light novel illustrations for this. Looking at their age, especially since the cat guy probably wouldn't even live that long, none of them are more than 500 years old and their ages vary. So, are the people who died just being randomly reborn throughout the ages? Also, has the person Shin's wanting to reunite with already been reborn and lived out their life?

@Sephantis all the revived players showed up at different times and locations, I think Holly and Shadow were brought back about a hundred years apart even, but she's a High Elf, so it's okay.
