If it takes as long as season 2 did to start from when season 1 ended, maybe another 6 months (I'm reading at 6 months after the release/TL) from now or a year since the chapter was released.

I think he should go for the villain route. As it seems his role has become that of the original Shin Jonghak. Somehow the story is pushing him to be the antagonist to Suho's story. Killing Nayoon's brother and joining the Chameleon Troupe.
