Yeah. I forget the exact chapter, but they set up that Will is jealous of Remi's accomplishments. Remi called his bluff though and left of her own volition.
Edit: I actually feel more sorry for Remilia's brother and that music dude who truly just got bamboozled.
Don't.
All 4 of them were in the plot for their own selfish goal to monopolize Remi in their own way.

I honestly feel so bad for him since he was charmed, brainwashed, and manipulated into turning on Remilia by that delusional sociopath. Without Pina they probably would have solved everything happily and had their future together or atleast he wouldn't have been humiliated like this
Did you forget previous chapters where Remilia pointed out that Pina's love potion isn't that powerful; sure, it can make the prince like Pina more but it wouldn't make him act so cruelly towards Remilia. The previous chapters even showed that the prince wanted to do it as a "lesson" against Remilia for being better than him. Pina only charmed the Prince, and the Prince took the opportunity to show that Remilia should know "her place".

That's why Remilia picked Angel to be Emi's Remilia's partner, he's the one person who wouldn't act cruelly towards Emi's Remilia if he somehow got manipulated by Pina, as he's actually a decent person, unlike the prince.

Well she is selfish/shallow/a sociopath. but man it must be odd/immersion or so to be in a thing like this although i guess if they only 'acted' like NPCs and just acting robotic otherwise tho that could be its own separate horror story (i think there was some thing like that where someone got sucked into a fairy tale and it ended up 'looping' for her)

For a human to for real get reincarnated into a video game they played, i could definitely see the brain just making it up that they indeed are in a game or dream and it not being breal. Subconsiously that is, as a self-defence mechanism against totall psychosis and ego-death. Your brain does these rationalizations to extreme inputs.

Not saying this has anything to do with the characters here, Isekai Pina here is a big cunt and thats the end of it.
But I do find myself thinking about this and how a human would really react if isekai and reincarnated storys were real.

Nah, her (step)brother wanted her to be condemned so her could swoop in and marry her, its the whole reason he supported the Prince's plan in the first place. The only one who truly got bamboozled was the music dude because Emi genuinely loved his music, valued his friendship and wanting to help develop his talent and by severing the relationship they had thanks to Pina and co. just ruined him.

I love this so much, the slow and complete undermining of Pina's standing and getting to be front row of seeing her favorite character choose someone else :02: This is such a peak series :win:

Although, I can't help but pity the prince, since he too is a victim of the star maiden...
i mean he got what he deserved for trying to hurt Emi just to feel better because if his inferior complexes. He may have been influenced by her charm but he was still aware and rational enough to understand what he did. Like we see here, his feelings for Emi never disappeared or were overridden.

Well he did also have some 'inferiority' complex, mind control aside, i don't pity him, he should be thrown out on the streets even tho they'd probably not execute him b/c "remi knows that'd make emi sad" or so, not that she'd ever rly find out anyways, but i suppose Remi can torture him and all the 'capture target boys' with endless nightmares for the rest of their days just to be petty lol

Why does Remi look surprised? It's pretty obvious Angel loves her. Didn't she already anticipate that? Or did she not expect him to confess in front of everyone?
She did say something like "No doubt Angel plans to propose" but probably "after " this meeting rather than during but imagine if she's just holding back her cackles /resist rubbing it in pina's face considering pina wanted angel the 'most' out of the boys

Nope, simply because they were not brainwashed and even the manipulation part is questionable. Simply because except that her ability made them like her, it did nothing else. They choose not to and prevent investigations, because they wanted these things to happen. Each of the 3 guys who liked her had their own agenda and not one was something nice for Emi.
