Didn't think I'd have a reason to use this image again so soon

Did Willard not test out the method before pitching it??? That should be like the first thing you do when trying to pitch a new farming method. Show the fucking products and then you'll have a higher chance or convincing people
It takes multiple growth/harvest seasons, which could mean years, to test it. I don't think the prince, or the royal family, who were so eager to kick out Remilia, have that sort of patience.

The point is that he's still a fucking idiot about pitching it without any relevant data. If you want people to think that it works or just want to know it works, why would you do the pitch without any data

It's been a while. What's up with Willard getting ridiculed at the end?
I’d wager the idea for agriculture that his thot Pina put forth has produced barely any fruits, plus there’s many other things working against her. Such as her draining funds. Either way he deserves it. Honestly, what merits has he brought forth as the crown prince? Barely a thing of his own power.

Also, I wonder if Emi really liked to study on various things, regardless of what they were or what use they’d be in her day to day living.
She’s was so knowledgeable and capable of bringing modern innovations into the real world.

Which you kinda need if you’re gonna isekai into another world.

Willard has been blowing the treasury on Pia, and part of the reason is because of her "revolutionary" crop rotation idea. However her idea is half-baked; basically an elementary school kid's concept of how crop rotation works. So Willard is now a laughing stock as it seems that fields he used Pia's method on are failing.

Meanwhile Remillia both knew what kinds of crops you're supposed to put in the fallow field (and went as far as the dwarf kingdom to get them), she also has access to superior fertilizer thanks to the demon's magic. She's beaten them at their own game.

I'm not convinced by this chapter... Crop rotation already existed in ancient Egypt. It was the number of fields (two, three or even four) and the specific crops grown on each that were refined from the Middle Ages onwards.

The last boom was the introduction of synthetic fertilisers.

In Remilia's world, you should already know a minimum crop rotation to sustain the population of these cities/kingdoms. The magically produced synthetic fertilisers would be revolutionary though.

Because, as someone once said, "The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. Instead of altering their views to fit the facts, they alter the facts to fit their views ..." And he was operating based on the false assumption that the information came from a transcendent, supernatural source that could not possibly be wrong.

You live in a world that has, for the most part, learned the value of the experimental method. That took a long, long time to develop.

Isekai authors are not known for their intellect. Which is why every single one introduces the same exact "innovations" to the place they are sent to. Innovations that often have existed for thousands of years on our planet, and make zero sense for them to not already have. I've seen Isekai Protags introduce water pumps and pulley and lever systems into worlds that are late medieval era, when those have existed since BCE on Earth. So either the planets they are going to are beyond stupid, or the Isekai authors are, guess which gets my vote?
