No, when something sucks, we stop reading it. When a romance story is about a pairing that we don't like, there's no need to engage with it further. Why should anyone continue to read something they think sucks?

The story has communicated in plain terms it won't do that. You don't need to keep reading something you dislike out of a hope that it might turn into something it obviously won't.
