I’d argue that being in love with her own sister and then sleeping with her sister’s ex-girlfriend to be spiteful—something that was obviously hurtful—is a huge red flag and creepy. That alone is reason enough to avoid her.

Nothing about this suggests she was being spiteful. She conceived of it as her trying to help Shiori out because it was her fault that rei and Shiori broke up and as maybe a way to get over her sister. Shiori is also the one who initiated things between her. If anyone was being spiteful, it was Shiori, and understandably so. None of that is particularly creepy or a red flag.

If we're gonna have all this drama, the author needs to see it through to the end and not take the easy way out here.
