Sorry to tell you, but the author described this series as a "pseudo-science-fiction B movie type manga". They're all cliches because the author likes these cliches. The art is great and I love to see more scifi, but man is the dialogue full of ham. Why do they all hate each other so much? Page 27, Yeah like that. Ajin was popular because it started out really grounded and even the absurd characters felt like real people, but these guys are all cliche movie tropes. I hope this isn't just a by the numbers slasher/monster movie plot.
There's really nothing wrong with what you described. Seriously, do you start reading every manga with the mindset that it's gonna be different that the rest? The art is great and I love to see more scifi, but man is the dialogue full of ham. You just want to read the same story over and over? There's really nothing wrong with what you described. Seriously, do you start reading every manga with the mindset that it's gonna be different that the rest?
No two story are the same unless we're talking about plagiarism dumbo. Ever heard of the hero journey? Like what did you think tropes and cliche are for? Just because both Naruto and Luffy are the destined one in their respective story, their story are the same? What an absolute L take lolYou just want to read the same story over and over?
