@Thifa I'm also that only child. I grew up favored by neither parent. My mom could talk all about my cousin and my dad favored another cousin because he always wanted a boy (not a boy here), For a good couple of years I recall being told sometimes by both parents how ugly, stupid and fat I was. I think they were going for reverse psychology - ya didn't work. I've all grown up but still believe in those words - anyone that says otherwise I give them a look of disbelief.
