@vodspod "The wizard is just as rotten if not more. He seems to be a sociopath at that. I wish there were more MCs that were not so self centered and willing to beat and kill people for no appropriate reason."
Ik it's been like a month but I just started reading this but just from this chapter and the synopsis he didn't seem like he was planning anything at all as he was framed by the nobles who wanted to use the ignorant son who wasn't good at country management and was likely susceptible to being used for a puppet government because if you look at him he seems like he lived a sheltered life and was pampered his entire life (which in old times you only got fat if you didn't have to work much and ate a lot hence why typically only nobles got fat) so he has a good reason for wanting to kill the new king as he was framed and killed for no reason which idk if it's just me seems like plenty of reason to want to kill someone. Plus if he was self-centered he wouldn't have helped his friend become king and instead have done it himself "Henry Morris was an 8-circled wizard who was a legend- one of the founding fathers who helped his friend become the king of a unified empire." < this doesn't seem like the act of someone self-centered to me but hey I may be wrong please describe how he acted self-centered or sociopathic at any point during this chapter. And idk if you know what sociopath means (a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience. got this from google) but when he talked about if he hadn't drunken the poison he said "However, if I had not done that, there would've been more to protect" which doesn't seem to make much sense at first glance at least in my opinion but when you think about it more it seems like he's saying he'd have had to protect the civilians as he's also looking around at them which makes it seem like he has a conscience and doesn't want the citizens to be harmed.
Rotten Wizard (assuming you mean mc): I don't see it but I may be wrong please explain how he acted rotten
Sociopath: (a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.) To me it seems like he has a conscience as I believe he knew he was drinking the poison
Self-centered: Not even close
Killing people for no appropriate reason: Wanting to kill someone because they killed (or attempted to kill) you seems like a normal thing to want to do if you think about it because if you ask someone who had an attempted murder on them I'm positive that 90 out of 100 people would say they want them dead or to kill them. So also flawed point
