I dunno why the manga changed things so much from the WN. Toru just casually cut the 3 of them with the magic sword then kicked them off the cliff in the cave. Clement had the mind control effect lifted and started begging 'Lid (Toru) to save him, but Toru coldly replied "have you ever helped Lid in the past?" then allowed them to be eaten alive by the rockworms (caterpillar monster). Its far more satisfying then this version where he doesn't do anything and they all basically kill themselves.
