The whole Layla plot pretty poorly done, it's treated like this kid just woke up one day as Layla rather then being reborn and other character treat it like this is a perverted little boy stuck in teenage body rather then some one who should be mentally a teenager if not older in a teenage body. I like the idea that unlike other of "reincarnated heroine" characters instead of being an entitled jerk they don't care about the "otome game plot" and just do their thing, but is just wasted here

Welp. If Lornah really turns out to be a reincarnated girl, then they should find a way to magically swap the body with Layla’s.
That way that little nasty can get locked out of the girls’ dormitory.

@Psweets I agree. Layla's character herself is just poorly done. The idea itself is fine, but the basic characteristics don't really match the premise, in that an Elementary school boy reborn as a girl would remain the exact same even after living for more than 15+ years as a girl. Not to mention that she's getting away with molesting girls in a western fantasy world (she would basically be sent to church or something for being possessed or lesbian). I've come to terms with the fact that Japanese authors don't think sexual preference is biological, but its everything else about the character that is incongruent, forced, and doesn't match.

I know the author wants that kind of character in the story, but you can't "force" it into the story. The back story really has to match with the character. Other authors do this really well. This one... doesn't.

@Theta they should have probably translated it as "debutante." Actually prom originated as an upper crust debutante with origins in the middle ages, but once America's middle class started growing they decided to host their own events to make marriage alliances with other rising families. Somehow it became our high school tradition.
