Remember when Kuroha said "lets team up and plot against Shirokusa" or something along those lines?
What if... She hatched a plot to also destroy Maru in a way for not picking her before?
So at the end, no one gets what they want.

A terrible ending yes, but I can see that happening. Hope I'm wrong.
