I need more of this Renée in my life and less of the romance with no chemistry
Right? I understand that the whole premise seems to be that this almost seems like an intermission between her last world and being sent home, and an effort to make her embrace things besides just fighting and come to know love etc. But honestly I much prefer when she's a badass, with only very occasional romance stuff. When it happens rarely, and shows the gap of how weak she is to romance because of her lack of experience, it's better in those small moments. This last arc was the most time they have spent on it, and while I'm glad they went into it, as I knew they would because again it's the premise of the story, I'm glad they are taking a break from it now and going back to the intrigue and fighting that I find more interesting overall.

It's def better in the long run for Yiyoung to get Renee some proper freedom but man is that a scary moment to end the chapter on lmao, hope the brothers are understanding in the end

Finally....at least for my taste.
Up till now, Yiyoung always moved carefully to not put Renée in a shitty spot if and once she got her body back....and understandably so. But tbh, enough is enough. There's no reason to keep this background characters slander the poor girl, especially her family. It's time they realize it's because of how shitty the family is that Renée grew up alone and full of problems.

She's so real for that omg, they don't deserve shit after how they treated her. I'm someone who almost always forgives the family in these kinds of manhwa, but here they've been given dozens of chances and fumbled every single time. Drop them out of your life Renee, they have only been a hinderance

Is the duke in a speed run to ruin the family? Although the system put some restrictions on her, she can still do a lot. The family can only live as an important family, as long Renee permits it.

  • Duke: "You need my permission for everything."
  • Renee: "Really? Well, you need my permission to keep breathing."
Worst case scenario, the system stops her from doing anything, so she just sends her disciple to kill them all...

After the breathtaking art in the training ground scene, I've been looking forward to seeing more of Renee's swordsmanship in action, and I'd love if she declared herself the victor after making sure everyone knew she was disowned. It'd be fun to see her refute the fame from going to the Macias household if the father tried to make a show of it like the sleazebag he is, but seeing him seethe silently would be much more enjoyable since he would have no way to fight back against a mistake of his own creation like that.

I think I’d enjoy the romance a lot more if it was written in a way that built up the chemistry between the characters a bit better. The romance was so sudden that it makes me feel like her emotions were forced by the system. I would have much preferred if the romance came naturally and the system just forced her to acknowledge it, without all the nonsense of the crown prince who she clearly despises.

Yeah, it's clear that's part of the premise, but we haven't seen much backlash from her because she's so inexperienced in romance that she's very weak to it. I hope eventually they address that she's basically been manipulated into it, but that it was because she's become so traumatized by her previous world that there was almost no chance that she would choose romance on her own without the system forcing her. But that it makes her question whether her feelings are real or the result of that manipulation, but hopefully does find a way towards those kinds of emotions on her own through it, even if it isn't with the current ML's.

But chances are they won't go that deep into it, and the current ML's will be the ones she ends up with, which will feel a bit unsatisfying because of the reasons you stated. There is still hope for better though, but yeah, right now the romance side is a bit underwhelming just because of the main premise of how it's had to be developed.

Completely baffled by the selection food being served at this breakfast. The men all have soup, but not Reneé. There's a rack of ribs, lamb shanks, raw salmon, a souffle, oysters, some sort of shrimp dish, 2 plates of what I can only assume is a slice of melon wrapped in prosciutto? The plates are just randomly placed around the table, there are no serving utensils, red wine being served with breakfast.

I think their chef has ADHD or something, dude has lost the plot with this menu
