Right? I understand that the whole premise seems to be that this almost seems like an intermission between her last world and being sent home, and an effort to make her embrace things besides just fighting and come to know love etc. But honestly I much prefer when she's a badass, with only very occasional romance stuff. When it happens rarely, and shows the gap of how weak she is to romance because of her lack of experience, it's better in those small moments. This last arc was the most time they have spent on it, and while I'm glad they went into it, as I knew they would because again it's the premise of the story, I'm glad they are taking a break from it now and going back to the intrigue and fighting that I find more interesting overall.I need more of this Renée in my life and less of the romance with no chemistry
Whos gonna say no to the Duke? Also brunch mimosas are 100% a thing irl so it tracks.Wait, why are they drinking wine at breakfast?
I think I’d enjoy the romance a lot more if it was written in a way that built up the chemistry between the characters a bit better. The romance was so sudden that it makes me feel like her emotions were forced by the system. I would have much preferred if the romance came naturally and the system just forced her to acknowledge it, without all the nonsense of the crown prince who she clearly despises.Right? Yeah, it's clear that's part of the premise, but we haven't seen much backlash from her because she's so inexperienced in romance that she's very weak to it. I hope eventually they address that she's basically been manipulated into it, but that it was because she's become so traumatized by her previous world that there was almost no chance that she would choose romance on her own without the system forcing her. But that it makes her question whether her feelings are real or the result of that manipulation, but hopefully does find a way towards those kinds of emotions on her own through it, even if it isn't with the current ML's.I think I’d enjoy the romance a lot more if it was written in a way that built up the chemistry between the characters a bit better.
