Geh, laissez faire is no cure-all. Governments don’t and will never have the time to micromanage all production, but some key pieces (cough, military production) can directly interfere with appropriate government if privatized

I see, a rational look at postmodern life from a salaryman vs a instinctual perspective coming from a self-proclaimed god.
Who will win in the end?

Funnily enough this shit manga seems to really hate communism yet the ones that saved the world from the nazis were communists.
@SunSun You must be very butthurt at the Soviet Union winning ww2 and saving your booty.

And? Both are bad, your point?
Nazi Germany was fighting on two major fronts later in the war, at that point it was legit just a race to see who could get to Berlin the fastest.

maybe the manga hates Communists because Communists are far worse than Nazis and killed tens of millions more people? Just a thought?

Also, Tanya outright calls Hitler "demonic", so don't even start with trying to say it favors the Nazis.

The Incheon Landing reference had me fucking giggling like a high school girl. I never felt this type of excitement and adrenaline reading a manga before. I am a fan of history, and while I am not a heavy one, I still love the reference Tanya made. Also, I always love seeing McArthur in any type of media is my favorite WW2 General and General overall. Also fun fact the author of Saga of Tanya the Evil is a believer of communism, which I don't really like as a sign but at least his ideology didn't really interfere too much in his work like how western woke writers do.

This is actually a parody by the writer. The writer actually believes in communism and is a commie himself. Which he revealed in an interview. Which is weird considering how good he is at making the Empire the good guy and the Union the bad guy.

Well, he spent his years being a dedicated little butt-licking capitalist and shafting others to advance himself, and in the end he was killed for it. He failed to learn the most important lesson of all:
Being completely selfish is only sustainable if you respect others' right to be selfish as well.

That was probably an order from the higher ups so I don't understand how that makes him at fault.
counterpoint, he was going to meet Earth-Visha, hire her as his secretary, and have Tanya with her.

we have very little evidence that he was HR and not operating as a Dilbert style Pointy Haired Boss. the behavior of him as Major Tanya suggests hes not a PHB, but actual Tanya's personality is in there as we see when he drops focus and is clearly effecting him.
I can't help but ship Tanya with Visha, they're so adorable together.
Manga Tanya does too

the ones that saved the world from the nazis were communists.
the USSR dumped millions of lives into the crucible of war without food, clothing, equipment, or consumeables. they were outproduced by GB, Germany, and Japan in quantity of materiel except for literal number of tanks, when we are intentionally handicapping the allies war contributions by excluding the USA's 55%/70% of total/Allied War Materiel produced. the USSR produced 9% of Allied. IIRC they consumed 22% of Allied War Materiel.

the expansion of territory gave the KGB and other compliance agencies wider operational ranges to enact the exact types of oppression and extermination following the conclusion of WW2 performed by the SS and the IJA, and directly lead to the Korean War.

the US Won WW2. We gave credit to GB, a handshake to France, and let the USSR and China have a participation sticker.

the issue here is the granularity. is he a popular communist, or does he understand the actual philosophical arguments about government obligation and reject the rejection of the philosophical foundation of money, which is the actual problems with communism?
