The manga hasn't caught up with the anime yet, and even then the start would be best because it goes into much more detail than the anime.

I kindly would love to remind everyone that this is a WORLD WAR 1 Manga involving this worlds version of the German Empire's Side of things. This is BEFORE the National Socialist German Workers Party, or the NAZIS ever came into the world stage or had ANY power..

its a mixture but it more often references things that happened in WW 2 as such as the phoney war at the start of WW2 and the invasion of Denmark/Norway which somewhat loosely follows WW2.

Nah, we're still behind the anime, but just barely. In the anime, the attack concluded, the wing escaped and then got assigned to the Afrika Korps.
I'd say Chapter 49 will set us on par with the anime, unless we get one of the "modern time investigation" chapters there.

So does this mean the Republic broke their conscription rule in their military? I though only the Empire and the Unified States allowed this conscription?

This manga is cool. Instead of using a wand for invoking spells, they are using guns to invoke spells. A nice touch for the "world war" world.

MC is a relentless neoliberal, severely lacking humanity. I wouldn't want to be aquainted with them, but their miscommunication is pretty cute. Plot is also interesting.

Nooot that I know of.

But, ngl, I like that they are a douche-bag asshole. Like, if you view it on the premise of the story (That modern-day salary people are really skilful at warfare), then it fits to keep their personality intact.
