I’m super disappointed with the last name “Ashley” lmao
Having the last name ashley makes her feel like her lineage was that of a commoner
I’m sure the author didn’t put any thought into the last name, or even realized that most English last names were made to point out who did what jobs. Ashley being in wood (ash) jobs

Unless that’s her first name.... they both feel like first names though lmao

I don't quite get why she doesn't introduce herself with her full name. Did some scumbag tell her not to? Is she so meek she believed it? She has a family name, so she can use it, along with her first name. If someone thinks she's a noble because of it, so what?

@Kaarme I don't think she's forbidden to do so, it's just the custom here. As for why she doesn't want to presume to be nobility, there could be a few reasons. She may not want to be presumptuous, or she may not want the responsibilities and drama that come with being noble.

@Kaarme If people think she's a noble, and then learn she's not, then it may be seen as impersonating a noble, which could be a serious crime.
If she immediately tells people that she's not a noble before any confusion can happen, then that makes them wonder why she has a last name. There wouldn't really be an explanation outside of being from the saintess summoning, and she wants to keep that mostly a secret.

@Tairo Then let them wonder. She obviously shouldn't pretend to have a status she doesn't have (like being a noble), but if she has a name, then she has a name. It's not up to the people of that world to decide whether she can have one or not. It's a part of who she is. It's not like she'd be a fugitive trying to avoid all and any attention.
