A short tale of mine: There were those girls my classmates and I hang around with during breaks back in school. One morning I meet one of them at the school doors waiting to be let in. She looked tired, spritless. I noticed begs under her eyes and I as good as never notice such stuff normally. So I became concerned and ask, "Oh, you aren't looking good today. What happened to you? Are you ill or didn't get much sleep tonight?" That look on her face. Something in between surprised and "I wish my stare could strangle that guy." The breaks in that following week weren't looking so good for me either. Lesson learned.

Is she 12 years old or something? Why is she calling him -sama when he's just using her name with no honorifics? Objectively speaking you could easily find 20 men in the kingdom who could replace the dude immediately, but nobody could replace Sei.

I hadn't touched this series for a year, but now I'm immediately reminded of why. I can't fathom how this series is supposedly aimed at adult women, yet the female main character is a total doormat.

I understand there are limitations when it comes to drawing manga, and that the characters usually suffer from SFS (Same Face Syndrome). But I still think that if they're going to bother to draw a panel showing the character having makeup put on, then the artists should go to the effort of making that character look even somewhat different from how we've seen them up until then.
