@Logic everything isn't about logic it's about human emotions, if we were all calculating people without feelings who just went with the calculated odds of best results each time we wouldn't be human.
she's a human and a teenage girl at that, the most emotional point in her life and she's suppose to just ignore those emotions and just make calculated decisions? a teenage girl would follow her emotions and way to stay AWAY from her kidnapper not befriend and spend every day with them...

I understand Aira's position. if I were at her place (and I'm in my thirties), I would be overwhelmed.
Ok, so I'm in a medieval country, whom people were desesperate or evil enough to summon me from another universe, where magic exists and I know nothing of it; I have no money (I'm used to comfort so maybe I should prostitute myself?), no connexion (maybe the persons I will seek help to are worse?), no basic knowledge (I don't have practical skills, I don't know the customs/etiquette, and who will hire a girl who doesn't even know livestyle magic?!); the only person who tries to be friendly is the crown prince, so if I anger him, the king and all administration and nobles might turn against me.
Ok I am the Saintess, but it seems my existence alone is enough to ward off evil; so maybe they can put me in a cage or worse and use me even if I don't want.
And I think myself to be a good person, so I will try to help this country people...
So yeah, no wonder Aira acts like depicted.

Oof everyone's fighting over what is the right reaction for aira in this situation. well I understand her, people have different kinds of thinking and she chose to trust the prince maybe because the prince pities her and ask for her forgiveness that's why she became dependent on him and thought he could be trusted

Ok so Aira don’t seem to be such a bad person so that just means this is all Kyles fault 😒

@Cerain I agree! Like who’s to say she knows the extent of guilt he has for her? She might just think he felt a little bad and since he started taking care of her she just decided to lean on that cuz she didn’t know what else to do, like legit I think this is the most relatable reaction cuz she’s just a teenage girl who only has her parents and hasn’t even gone on to build her own life in her worlds society so how do ppl expect her to just accept this whole entirely different world and life sprung onto her inexperienced hands so suddenly! She ain’t super human and that’s just fine to me

So he is capable of emphatising with Aira, but it never crossed his mind that Sei is in a similar situation. Now I hate him even more...
Or should I hate the writer for writing a strange character?
And Aira should get her act together already, months have passed.

So basically, the girl's had her spirit broken and is just indifferent (imo). She depends on the prince cuz he's there but i'm thinking that trust isn't quite there.
I suppose that if we wanted her to get any better, mentally, she'd need Sei's intervention...and by this point she should be aware of her existence i think.

yeah i always had the vibe that aira probably just went along with the flow and didn't have anyone rlly to depend on so she allowed others to take the lead

man i feel awful for her. almost an entire year living like this? girl :(

Haha, this comment thread is pretty funny. Sei is only marginally better than Aira. She's also willingly at the mercy of the men around her, basically doing whatever they ask from her. The difference is that the men around her were more varied and less centered around her (the dudes all had their own jobs they were mainly concentrating on), unlike in Aira's case. This slight detachment actually allowed Sei to have something that superficially resembles an independent life, but only very superficially. For one, she works full days but apparently gets no compensation for it! If she wants to go shopping, she needs someone to accompany her and pay for the stuff because she has no money of her own, despite having produced unheard of results at her work. I have made no secret of my dislike of Sei's Yamato Nadeshiko attitude, and revealing Aira is even worse off doesn't change anything, in fact it makes Sei's failures even more glaring because she didn't have the burden of the title and the undivided attention of a royal upon her, so her hands were more free. That being said, Sei could still change things and I'd forgive her, treat her choices so far as nothing but a training period. But that's only if she really changes.

I take back all the shit I said about Aria. Honestly, she’s relatable.

Holy crap, that's depressing. No wonder she's so attached to Kyle.
I hope she gets to meet Sei and develop a good relationship with her...

It’s always hilarious to read the comment threads and see how some people manufacture details that aren’t given to us, then criticize the story because of the details they made up. I have a lot of issues with the sloppy story telling in terms of characters often acting ignorant or dim because it suits the moment (not because it matches their character or the work building) but half the crap people come up with is pretty revealing of their own issues rather than the manga 🤣

Yep, this is what would happened when you summoned a normal teenager girl into another world and tell her you can't go back forever. The one who can handle such situation properly are abnormal teenagers or adults, having stranded in weird place all by yourself with everyone having a high hopes for you is very unnerving for a normal teenagers.
