@bernardovm - this is the result of novel-to-manga adaptation.
The integer part of the number is the chapter number in the novel, which is some logical unit of the story.
The decimal part indicates manga chapters, as the artist needs more than one chapter of manga per chapter of novel. Size of the decimal chapters depends on how good the artist is, how hard the material is to draw, and how many pages the magazine has that week. Since manga is published on a regular schedule (like once a week, once a month, or once per two weeks), the artist has to release something even if it's not a proper chapter.

For anyone annoyed by her "clumsiness" it's not easy to see roots coming up from the ground, large rocks, some kind of rise in the earth, large branches, or anything trippable when you're not used to the area or, you know, when there is already tons of crap that hides all that stuff even if you're looking. The other guys have been there often enough to remember, she hasn't.

Happens in real life as well, in exactly the way she did. You walk into a tree root because someone is walking next to you and you can't or don't step out of its way. That's normal.
