That child makes me sad but her choice was very realistic. Children in foster care are very often desperately waiting to be with their parents again, no matter what kind of situation they came from. Not always true, there are some kids who choose a grandparent they've been living with while their parent was in jail or the foster parent they're with (if they get a choice, they usually don't, and teens are far more likely to have a say in that then a kid the age of this one). Can't say I'm thrilled with where the story has gone though. Too much reality.
