What a treat to see a story, where the clan is not only happy to have the protagonist, but there isn't any constant misunderstanding drama between the protagonist and the love interest.

I hope the author doesn't turn this one into another story of "Evil guy is threatening you. After defeating Evil Guy, we show you how he actually worked for Evil Guy 2 who now has to be in the story, so that we can reveal Evil Guy 3 who is actually the bad guy in this tory."

Also, I like how the protagonist goes "disgusting old man" mode on insects.

yeah, it's an interesting concept. i like the idea of a main character who specializes in one ultra specific thing that makes him valuable in a world where it'd be useful, but hated or laughed at for in his original world.

unfortunately, the author fell down the common trope of making every other character---besides the mc---inexplicably incompetent. Instead of being capable problem-solvers like they should be given their status as high-ranking members of a major clan, they stand around clueless in basically every scenario until the MC steps in with a painfully obvious solution, just for the author to have everyone around him shower him with praise as a once-in-a-century genius.

it's the worst part of these stories, they can't create actual character depth within their main character, so they dumb down every other character around him to make him seem important. any satisfaction i got from the story's intriguing concept immediately vanished the second i realized that.

Overall things are enjoyable and I appreciate the attempts to share the author's love of the topic with the audience.

There is one bit that perplexes me though, and that's that MC somehow seems to not only have knowledge from earth but also inexplicably will blurt out some trivia about a creature that is related to the non-earth setting and I'm just left wondering about the time we didn't see, did he learn this during 'childhood' or is is some sort of ability that he figures out the non-scientific stuff through raw intuition too. Either way it goes a bit beyond what I naturally accept he would know and it feels out of place.

So was there really no other way to move along the plot than have someone rush into the room for the 5th time and announce something terrible is happening? Because that's how most of the first twenty chapters worked. I'm on the blood master guy fight with the obligatory "MC has flashbacks to his loved ones and gets determined" shtick, and I hope it starts getting less basic and more creative with the approach to story telling.

So far, not impressed, but I'm holding on in the hopes of it getting better over time.

Totally agree, if that was a story about farming, the "Potato" clan would not know how to farm potato until the MC come and point out the first fucking line of the wikipedia about farming potato lol

It is so badly done and ngl I hate when author think our ancestor where dumbass because the internet did not exist... Like yeah knowledge was still something and something you passed down be it orally or with books

Heck it go beyond that on a early chapter the MC point to something rare on the ground... the same ground the high level cultivator where standing on a couple of panel ago and they did not see the big bright purple thing on the ground, but the MC did see it from like 50m when turning back, how fucking stupid and blind do you wanty your cultivator to be cause the author anwsered YES to that question

Not suprising, this has a official translation and many scrapper site, well just scrap that, Batoto do point that out when they do, MD is fan translation only.
Now you can have a lot of great work done by fan but as it is made as a hobby and not paid the quality will be way more variable.
