@KrisN Probably Moloch.

So then is his consciousness/soul hopping between world lines, rather than travelling through time, specifically?

Ok, Skellebro was trashed out ... again. By Isacc ... again ... :/

That said, Isacc is becoming quite important, isn't he? Guards the door from hell, knows the Kevin Asthon thing, the blue window with stats and such ... and the author designed him as the typical emo vampire ( he even sparkles :p ) .... ;) . I wonder how this will bode out ...

Interesting twist on it, its not actual time travel its alternate dimensions / realities. Both interesting and bad though--since that means that life goes on after each of his deaths. There are dimensions out there where Rubia / Rena / Everyone important to him died--There's a dimension out there where Rena is a member of that organization but he failed to protect her younger sister and died, etc etc.

I much prefer time travel, if just for the uhh, lets say solace in knowing that his mistakes aren't lasting.

I think a certain anime
Re:Zero
might be doing a similar take on this, though I'm following Season 2 atm so I don't knwo for sure. I might have had a comment spoil one or two things years and years ago, much to my chagrin.

@Jeikob I think it is time travel, they just said barrier ....That could mean a certain point of time is protected ....It could be a certain time frame or a date the world can’t continue past without conditions being met first

This "depression from calculating the end of the universe" thing is a dumb meme. If you're working with enough mental power to actually mentally prove mathematically and internalize the results, you're already smart enough to start working on the obvious solution of a universe-hopping arc, as there isn't actually anything in the laws of physics that prevents you from doing this. And it's extra dumb here because not only is there magic to supplement traditional tech, but also literal proof it can be done.
