Someone capable of buying out basically the entire auction at higher than predicted bidding price with the auction being held in the north where the family they need to be most wary off lives and controls, how can they not know who they are? And wouldn't it be safer to sell to that other rich guy that they know who it is than someone they don't know anyway?
Not to mention after spending all that money the nr2 richest is more likely to be feeling like spending money than the guy that bought everything already.

And it's not like this was the only clue that the AH was evil. So the bad guy writing is suitable anyway.

I have a feeling a loooooot of very painful things are going to happen to the auction house people after showing them those eyes.... So they probably won't be paying anything at all for all those items lol
