@cheekibreeki It feels exactly like love later in life does. As adults we refer to it as puppy love as if it's something different, but to the teens, preteens or even kids experiencing it, it's very much real and serious. Granted the level of seriousness can vary, with teens tending to have the most serious take on it, but it's never some kind of non-legitimate love just because of age and inexperience.
I think we tend to call it things like puppy love to romanticize it as only being sweet and innocent, and it can be, but it can also be utterly terrifying not knowing if the person you love will love you back, no matter if you're 15 or 8 or 28.
