Who's the older one here, then?
Suffice to say it's can use as Mr or Ms for English tongue as well instead of just can be mean as big/elder brother/sister, it would be a lot of sense in most Asian countries to say that way since there's similarity calling those words

Has I understand it, older (but still young-ish) women are often called Onee-san. Older still and they're called Oba-san (Aunt). I imagine that Onii-san and Oji-san apply too.

Don't take my word for it though. The source of my knowledge of Japanese culture consists of anime/manga and web searches.
