Anyone else half want the secret conspirator to be the other twin playing basically the same game? Because man if that wouldn't be a fun twist. Reasonably foreshadowed too (in the sense that bro clearly thinks protag would be a good leader, and we already know the whole make a fake front blahblahblah). Would need a bit more support to not just be a TWEEST, but i could dig it.

Eh... isn't that a upgrade though?
Gramps is immortal and can continue his research and at some point find some way to make a new body for himself while still being immortal and can keep knowledge about magic from being lost, which is a real worry since it has happened before.
That's the set up to turn into a God if anything.
