I don't think so. This is mere speculation on my part, but I believe the protagonists are trying to "free" Kinako from the house (represented by her strands of hair detaching themselves from the ceiling one by one) so she can go with the main character when he moves out. That's "Operation Love Love": they're doing activities (in this case, experiencing an alternate reality where they're all friends in the same school) that'll bring about more of her emotions and thus free her from her chains.

This. She's still pretty much bound to that room but that random scenario they acted released few hair strands from the ceiling e.g. Page 7.

It's all to slowly release Hinako from being room-bound and change it to MC-bound through "hauntings" so they can be together even after he moves out.
