My impression from the WN is the knee makes anything more than a light jog unbearable for him. Not to mention any long hikes are flat out.

Not being able to run is a pretty bad handicap for an adventurer.

@zeroxjac I have a fair amount of pain in my back feet and knees along with pain in hands and forearms, I will tell you from first hand experience, no one gives a shit. If you aren't bleeding, not bruised, not broken, no one cares at all. pain is always there, but you deal with it, its not till you do something very stressful or deal with it in low stress for a time that it hits a point you can't deal with it. having had to walk with a limp for a while due to bone spurs, you will favor one leg over another, but in manga the movements you would make will never come across.

@alidan no one cares but your family so long as you don't complain too much... I've got something similar in terms of pain. I've got days where I'm up for 30+ hours cause of pain, I don't and can't sleep much. I am waiting to die. Doctors can't do shit... Luckily with weed being legalized I've been able to lower my overall pain by a bit. I do hope reincarnation is a thing and I get an average body and not too dumb or ugly lol

@zeroxjac you have to do shit regardless of the pain, if you don 't work, you will die in that world. It is precisely why he took that job, but he got more than he was expecting by far

@Liquidxlax sucks to hear that, family is half the reason so many parts are screwed for me, I trusted them to know what's best and by the time I realized they are as if not dumber than me, had no more insurance, and at this point doctors just shrug their shoulders and don't care. when i say no one gives a shit, they dont give a shit till it's either life threatening and they have a 'its X' slapped at them or there is an obvious wound.

for me its more or less a chronic thing, but no real outward signs of it, but its fun watching family, little brother complain about his feet, mom has her a leg muscle that hurt, dad has back problems, pretty much everything I have on a fairly constant basis, be completely debilitating for them.
I just won that family genetic lottery it seems.

here's hoping ya get some good painkillers so your days don't completely suck.

yea, part of my foot pain has at times left it hard to walk for a year + and I have given serious consideration to having the thing amputated. unless the manga specifically shows prosthetics doing a good job, you are looking at something that is the equivalent of a peg leg or a permanent crutch... now if this were a pain that is forever present, as in even when everything is off the leg, it still hurts, yea, that's something you consider, but if it only hurts when you are on the limb, unless its 100% debilitating with no hope of recovery, my case bone spurs (for the heal) and tendonitis/microfractures/gout, not sure which but those are the most likely suspects (for the right side of my foot) even at its worst, it would still be better than a prosthetic. my normal problem which gets doctors to shrug and say I don't know is probably about the same as his knee injury, always present but there are clear everything's fine stages before hit hits not walking anymore.

It would be nice if the manga went into that and showed us if that's even an option though. the web novel is 163 chapters translated and 427 written, so if anyone has read it or has read further then translated would love to know if this was brought up.
