If it IS crossdressing, which I'm still not convinced on (altho the deep voice and the "plop" they did when they sat could certainly be hints), if Miss Michelle was a woman who had a brother who looked like her, couldn't it have been the brother who attended this meeting today and the real Michelle is trying to elope? Or smth? It might explain the "oi, michelle" from the previous chapter, since I doubt their parents/servants would address them with "oi." I just doubt someone at their home would call them "Michelle" and that they would continue wearing women's clothes at home if they actually a boy; if this is a crossdressing situation, maybe Michelle is a transwoman and was just planning to remain single?
