My theory on why the pacing is so bad is that the publication probably only greenlit them for so many chapters and they’re attempting to group in readers as fast as possible, because honestly this is so generic to the point I refuse this is anybody’s original creation and not some studio shill out to capture the attention of readers who like this specific genre, because honestly the first chapter was a speed run like holy.

I read this as a guilty pleasure for lack of a better phrase. This is bad. The idea of reincarnation is a fun one. I definitely enjoy the premise of living in a story you've read and using that knowledge to your advantage. The greatest issue this has though is there is not a single meaningful challenge for Will in what's available. Basically the only reason I still read this is that I still remember the plot thus far. The second this becomes completely forgettable for me will be the moment I drop it because at least I still get a bit of entertainment out of it, and I also use bad writing like this to learn storytelling lessons from.

At best this is a 5/10, but I give it a 4.

The pacing is so bizarre, but I guess at least they had an end in mind and didn't drag it out. There are a couple minor bits that set this apart from other isekai trash but in the end this isn't among the best out there. I honestly wouldn't have minded it so much but I have a pet peeve about time skips in stories where people can upjump their power magnitudes and these time skips invariably create inconsistencies with character progression. I'm actually not even sure if the ending went as planned because it ended up feeling rushed compared to the setup making it feel like a longer work in progress.
