@0TheWatcher0 It seems like it would've been better go slower. I don't even know how they're going to explain
Lee Yeon Hee
later on in the story.

The dark atmosphere is ruined because they omitted, erased or changed so many things from the original source material, including the main character's own personality. He's a completely different from his novel version, who is edgy, apathetic and mentally unhinged. Heck, he's supposed to be barely sane after leaving the 1st floor after experiencing extreme mental and physical anguish. We're literally losing the psychological aspect of the novel, that is supposed to be one of the main highlights of the story. A majority of the Korean readers themselves have been complaining about this on The Tutorial is Too Hard kakakopage, no one is going to enjoy the story going in this direction if we continue like this. It's painful.

@peelpeyl it's been a long time since reading the novel. So, I would be thankful if you answer my question is the person in the spoiler tag
the only one who manages to clear the stages after him (after he gets to the later stages). And it's a she, right?!

@SumukluSupurge Now I didn't say anything about league, did I? Plenty of games exist that are nothing like league. Yes, flash is one of millions of examples of short range teleports, and it's usage is limited, but for everything like that there's another example of a 3 second cooldown teleport or such.

Heck, I'll take your league example, and raise you "kassadin's R" for multiple repeated teleports. Maybe other champs too, dunno. Another popular example, Overwatch also has multiple teleports you can hold at once in 'popular pvp games' category you seemingly wanna go for.

Besides, the MC has gone on about how this game is 'like an MMO' and these skills are indeed more like MMOs, so why would you bring up mobas as examples? That's apples to oranges. More mmos have teleports than ones that don't, and also mmo skills at large are not as high cool down as something like league.

You mention Kassadin r but it isnt the same thing at all. Kassadin r is short ranged and uses more mana everytime u use it in a certain timeframe. Also i mentionad league to give an example not that u say anything about it. And the reason i give flash as an example cuz i didnt play much mmorpgs i dont know most of the skills like i do with league .

Have to agree that they butchered the atmosphere, personalities of the MC and somehow even kirikiri...

@peelpeyl my assumption is they will go down a different way from the novel. there will be some HUGE differences from the novel (as we can already see).

@peelpeyl I think it is enough that we had a billion edgy cold protagonists in the same tower/floor setting. He is at least a little likeable as he is now. But the dark undertones being played down is uncomfortable as well. Him being a care-free optimist would be better if they tried to show the setting's reality much clearer.

@Raskaro In my opinion, I find his personality is bland compared to the original source material. The novel writes Lee Ho Jae's personality with very real emotions. The MC is always suffering. His personality and mental issues that is resulting from his self torture and experiences should not be downplayed so hard.

But you’re free to have that opinion. I do certainly agree that setting isn’t being clear enough.

It wasn't enough that they filed down all the features that made this a good novel in the first place, but they had to add insult to injury with that generic chuuni eye shit? Reading this is going to be bad for my hairline.

Meh, it's average imo. I just hope it actually changes dungeon types. As opposed to having to deal with arrows n lame traps it's something more interested.

Yes they're going to have a lot more types of dungeon... rather it won't all be dungeon. He'll be sent to various worlds that are
trapped in the tutorial, their residents who get to die over and over, before being reverted and oblivious.

I'd agree with some others that the tone of this is a bit too cheery, but perhaps we'll see in time. But I think it is too soon to judge. Still the mental health aspect was one of the great aspects of the novel, and this is pretty early. Certain events will be the test.

Although I think there may be some missing chapters from web sites going down. Maybe the web archive can help regarding that. Or maybe some aggregator site? This has changed translators more than once too. But I always start from NovelUpdates

Honestly. I also felt that the tone of the manwha is a bit light hearted but it’s wayyyy too early to tell.

The manwha is a bit light hearted but it’s not bad (check out ch 10 again, it had subtle psychological elements)

On the first few floors, all he had on his mind was clearing them. let’s just wait and see till floor 6.

It’s honestly a good adaptation. I don’t see any major faults so far other than the small downplaying of initial psychological elements.
