I originally wrote simply not the way, but then before clicking the Post reply button, from the good ol' 2018 part of my brain, I realised that's not da wae of writing the way. I mean, between 2018 and 2026, who in their right mind would say 2026 is better?

Karen is more my type of girl, but it is Asahi that is on the cover, so I have no expectations, but we all know this is just author-san just mining for feels, but I'm not falling for it. In the next chapter or two, it will swing back in the other direction, or probably someone else will get added to the harem. Not sure how long I'll carry on reading, if it goes harem silly. However, I can see Karen's helper monkey sticking her ore in to run interference very soon.

💯 agree. This emotional scene literally came out of nowhere and as much as I prefer Pres to Asahi. This is very much just emotional pandering for more harem drama.

People forget how Karen acted when she was introduced into the story. To say that she is some perfect match is a bit silly. I get that many manga readers prefer overbearing women, but she was a genuine nuisance. Not in a silly way like Asahi, but in a serious way.
