Just gonna be honest, I think the average reader here is uneducated, naive or ironically not acting their age. And I can't wait until they all leave and I can finally read something in the comment section besides whining about the setting.

With that out of the way, looks like we have non-humans outside of the imperial family. I expected as such but I didn't think Rurahel would be one. Maybe the children are not half human but half something else. That would kind of explain their Imperial traits coming out against the odds.

This count is kind of hilarious. What's with the bad-guy grin man? You're acting more see-through by the second. lol

So you're telling me that the EMPEROR of the GODDAMN COUNTRY didn't know what the curse of blood is and let his guard down like that??

@Lioslin Also I think they're implying how did he even get hard for her hen he loved the deceased empress so much.

OK author if you're going to do this
I'm just going to do that
Because I'm gonna break somebody knee caps if I read 1 more word about the twins being "deceived" and them acting "distant" even though it helps nobody.(aren't these guys like over 24 now or Smth mentally)
Last thing I just wanna mention is that I thought it'd be great to read a sword n magic web comic with focus divided evenly between the twins but nope the girl is more important, we can only see her thoughts, and she has double his talent.

Honestly they should have asked more, they should have asked to have a talk with their father to get the whole thing... like is really convenient how nobody was put in the castle to look after them for five years besides lazy maids but we can ignore that. What is hard to deal with is how dragged the plot is for other reason besides overcomplicate things for the sake of cheap drama.

I know most novels are just a quick entertaining but would hurt to create a compelling reason for their hardships?

Anyway, ty for the translation!

What I don’t understand is why they cut him off and refused to listen to the explaination. They always talk about wanting to know the truth and finding more information. They wanna ask more questions and he was fully willing to answer them, why send him out???

Even if the duke requested to meet them, they’re the freaking 2nd and 4th prince and first princess, they can tell him to wait and even fuck off if they really wanted to

Thank you for this new chapter!

I understand the twins fear of being betrayed and abandoned again, especially after their father ordered them to return to the palace in which they suffered so much, this is the result of years of incessant abuse from both their mother and maids ;_;
But still, as a manhwa, this might be dragging on for quite a while still? We are nearing the 40 chapters with no real change in their feelings, though, on the other side, we are learning more and more about the circumstances that surrounded their birth, and now we know that Rurahel wasn't human, which imply that the twins should be half 'something' too, which opens up the possibility of them manifesting special and unique powers in the future!
Let's be patient and see where this all gets us!

I could accept this if they had died when they were a 10 year old or something, but dying in their 20s means they were at least a bonafide adult, unless they were seriously withdrawn from people/society or something in their old lives, but I didn't get that impression. The author needs to get around to explaining why these adults in kids bodies are so...stupid. Yes, yes, you got abused for a few years when you were fresh young 20+ year old newborns. That really sucks from what is supposed to be your (second) mother... But it's not going to turn you back into an infant mentally when you're already an adult, and it's not even your "real" mom. Getting abused by that woman should be making them think of their old family, not how their "mom doesn't love them enough"

I just think at this point they shouldn't be testing the waters -- sure, never trust your emperor father, never trust the siblings who are really obviously quite attached to you. Just do nothing and when you're old enough to move on, move on. It's really not that hard to understand.

Author really needs to explain why these characters seriously behave like 5 year olds, and 25+ year olds only when it's convent for them to understand a topic or situation that they really shouldn't understand.

Them : There's still so much to know... So many mysteries, so many questions.... Why this, why that?
Also them : Yea let's drive away the only person willing to talk and to explain to us and welcome a suspicious guy with obvious ulterior motive. Then let's wallow some more because there's too many questions and no one is willing to tell us anything. Yep. Perfect.

How about we listen everything first, maybe? Make your judgement afterwards, not while constantly asking yourself the same questions repeatedly.

I don't think being 17 in their past life and being 5 now makes their current mental age 23 :/ I do still think they act way too immature in this series but (idk how to explain this) I think there's probably a difference reliving birth to 5 years old than 17 to 23 bc of the different kinds of experiences people go through at those ages and maybe even the way their brains process everything

That woman managed to rape the king numerous times til she got the jackpot. Disgusting. But it's kinda silly to let a king sleep with no knight guarding him.....

@sirflimflam Agreed. The silliest part is how they got so prejudiced to the whole imperial family and palace staffs but wholeheartedly trust a shady duke and his kid whom they only met a few times

Thanks for this update! 😘

This story also follows the rest: the drawing is beautiful, but nothing happens. The twins (and the emperor) are too stupid for their age - I’m sorry, but I have to agree with the majority here. Chapter 35, but only now we did find out that they might not be humans. They struggle, try to integrate and meanwhile believe everything in the not-so-trusting count say, but call their family a liar. I don't know... if something doesn't happen soon, I think I'll drop this too. 🤔

My big issue with the series is the twin themselves suck.

Why make the twins an isekai if they still act like.immature children

@areticentreader I would agree to a point, that a 17~18 year old shouldn't act like a 25 year old. However there is the small problem that they don't even act like 17~18 year olds. They act like 5 year olds. It would make more sense if they were abused in their previous life then were reincarnated into a similar abusive situation, but that is never stated nor clarified in the narrative. The only thing we know about them from their past life is that they were high school kids who died for certain reasons never explained. Heck they didn't even clearly state at what age they died. During their 5th birthday they state they are 25, but they say they were 18 when the died. So were they 18 when they died and are now 23 or were they 20 when they died and are now 25? It's not really explained.

The way they act makes them seem like the were in elementary school when they died. Maybe there was a bit of age regression going on after they were reborn. Who knows? One thing is for certain, the author isn't going to bother explaining the inconsistency between their behavior and the age they are suppose to be. Again, I would fully be behind their mentality if they were abused in their previous life in Korea then abused again in their current life. Then I could at least relate with their reasoning. However their previous life remains a complete mystery. Their trust issues are natural for a child, but not natural for a 18~20~25 year old.

Speaking of trust issues, if you are not going to trust the person who has already saved your life twice and continues to protect you to the point were he was bed ridden and you also aren't going to trust the one maid who hasn't lied to you this entire time, then why the hell are you so eager to trust the Duke and his son. I would say the type of logic that lead them to that conclusion is absolutely maddening, but the goddamn Emperor came to the exact same conclusion. Perhaps they are more affected by their current world lineage than the story lets on. Rurahel has the trust issues and the Emperor is a gullible idiot. Add those two together and you come up with the children who are both gullible and have severe trust issues. But again this leads us back to "how exactly does their past life experience tie into their current behavior?"
