@Paulthetic I'm only really waiting for the time when the twins realize how stupid they've been. Once that time comes, I'll re-evaluate if that becomes the last chapter for me or if I keep going.

This, what? 23 or 25 year old ADULT brained kids are so stupid. They're frustrating, I an just roll my eyes every second they have a dumb conclusion.

Ah yes, the logical decision of two 23 years olds. I think this story would have been better if they were just smarter than average 5/6 years olds due to their royal blood or some random plot device. I cannot handle the fact that they are mentally two fully grown adults.

@Milkspacebar thank you! I've been thinking that for quite a while now. I don't know how the twins being reincarnated plays into the story since they don't use any knowledge from their part lives or have the maturity / intelligence you would expect from 23 year olds. There's just things that do and they way they act that makes me forget that they were actually reincarnated.

What really annoys me is how people just add reincarnated peoples' ages together dying at 18 then becoming infants and going through more childhood is not 18+5 years. You do not get the experiences of an adult, you do not have the brain (and brain chemistry and development) of an adult and you are not treated like an adult. It is unrealistic to think they would have the maturity and mentality of 23-24 year olds because THEY ARE NOT 24.

They are abused 5 year olds with memories of having grown up to 18. More than that, they have been abused, which could have caused regression and many other forms of cognitive limitations that would have affected their behaviour. They have some extra ability and context from their previous lives, but we don't even know how much they remember, are those memories clear or fuzzy. Is it abstract knowledge they lived before or was it like they died and woke up?

People should not expect reincarnators to have the maturity of original+new ages, at most they should have their maturity 'paused' at the age they died because they do not have the brain or the life experiences of adults.

To the commenter below, THANK YOU FOR SAYING WHAT I'VE BEEN THINKING THIS WHOLE TIME!!!
Their true age may be 23-24, but by no means is that their true maturity level because they haven't gone through the formative experiences that would give them the maturity of 23 year olds!

@Tanarwater While I completely understand this logic, I feel it's wasted on a fictional setting. The point of reincarnation in most stories is the fact that they are able to use their reincarnation & past memories to their advantage. Just to like to know about future events & plan ahead, or just be smarter than the rest of the ppl because of their past memories etc. The fact that they are supposed to be reincarnated is pissing ppl off because there is NO POINT to it. The story is complete without the reincarnation element thrown in. In fact, it's more enjoyable thinking of them as actual 5yr old illegitimate kiddos just trying to understand the world & it's cruelties rather than 2 reincarnated adult twins who got abused & now have the mentality of 5yr olds.

I feel like the reincarnation genre was thrown in just to bait readers since obviously it's an immensely popular troupe. But approaching this story similar to another webtoon, "The Monster Duchess & Contract Princess" would have been perfect! Because the story isn't about reincarnation/knowing your future & changing it/how you die/being smarter than everyone else etc etc. It's about abuse, trauma & finding your place in a world that treated you cruelly. It's about the twins understanding their family slowly & opening up their hearts to them.

I came here for the reincarnation genre, but I would rather read this forgetting about that fact & imagining them to just be actual 5yr olds with no past memories (which are absolutely useless) & a lot of trauma to overcome.

@wowzabeans a lil explanation as to the other reader's frustrations about their age ^

Also, here are some examples of reincarnation webtoons, where they are reincarnated as kids & why it plays into the plot point;
- Who Made Me a Princess: MC knows she is gonna die & wants to avoid it. She is also extremely sarcastic on the inside while pretending to be innocent on the outside which is a hilarious read.
- The Youngest Princess: MC is a reincarnated archmage & while she can't stop the bodily functions of an infant (like feeling sleepy all the time), she is still powerful & retains all her knowledge. Her fam just thinks she is a genius
- Am I the Daughter?: MC knows she is gonna die & wants to avoid it. She still acts like a small innocent kid even if she is 18 on the inside, with reason. She was locked up in a cage for all 18years of her previous life. She honestly knew absolutely nothing about the world apart from the fact that she will die. Her innocence is justified at least.

@Rubbiccino perfect explanation tbh.
The reincarnation is the torn that prick most people.
It barely explained their past & thrown in the story.
It's like a flash card shown just to get people to read this for the genre when it could stand all on its own.

@Rubbiccino your explanation makes a lot of sense! thinking about it now, ive basically forgotten about the reincarnation aspect since doesn't really serve a purpose right now.
