god damn. the author nailed the specific feeling he aimed for. showing how it feels to be a kid in a separated/divorced household, stuck with an abusive parent, feeling like the other one could've done something to help but just didn't. It's a horrible feeling. But it's also a horrible feeling for the other parent once they get involved and realize what their kid went through. It's tragic.
I still 100% do not forgive the emperor unless some grand reason is explained in the future. Right now, he is just an asshole who abandoned his kids to be abused from the day they were born and it's not like he didn't know they existed...if the author wants to turn him into a martyr then present us with the proper explanation
Oh, I thought the comments would have been more riled up... Especially with the comment Riolu made on their "adultness"😅
Guess most of the fed up guys already quit. 😂😇
Well then, I'm still here to see that uh, unexpected scene?
I was quite pleased with how they just throw everything they had on their mind right in the emper... their father's face. Cuz, right, he's first and foremost their father.
So, the lack of reaction on their part that drove me puzzled and upset was in fact due to their matureness instead of their childishness, as they just took everything within and didn't show their emotional wounds. I tend to do that too, so I understand, but man was I frustrated not knowing it.😡😅
On another hand, the emperor's reaction is leaving me unsatisfied. I felt sadistic pleasure when he flinched under their accusations, ngl, but apart from that he just said he didn't know?
Not a
He had three other children, fgs, so how can he not have any tiny hint about how children all have a phase when they try to hide their difficulties to appear more adult-like? Even if he doesn't realize (he didn't seem to pass a lot of time with them, but I can understand that), the nanny should have. Or is it because the three other sons were never like that, with their weird growth rate? Or will it be because the twins seemed to mature they subconsciously treated them as adults?
(just me rambling a little 😗)
To cut it short, indeed a lot of questions weren't answered (even relating to how the whole kidnapping actually happened), so I hope we will know a little more with them all talking to each other in the next chapter, before moving on to another arc, but I'm not quite sure it would happen.😕
Cool so they resolved that at lightspeed, and now get to be a happy family
*record skips*
Fuck that, fuck the emperor, fuck the imperial family, fuck the empire.
Twins y'all got an out, escape while you can! Otherwise you will probably never be free.
ARGHHH finally that the as*hole duke is now gone(mentally)
And that the miserable chapter is gone
And the twins had finally opened up to the emperor they say anything that they heart desire and that emperor has apologized with care
(Too many and's)
Also it made me tear up in the early morning.(its 8 am in here) ...ugh ,you translator are just amazing as always !! The sfx is really amazing and the translator are magnificent thank you for the very good chapterr!!!!!
Kid Rosa's the most interesting character so far. The rest are pretty 1-Dimensional, their traits are their personalities. We've got the misunderstood father, the straightlaced blockhead (Prince 1), the sly dude who's got that sneaky smile (Prince 2), the hot-blooded dude (Prince 3, I bet this guy has beast-like instincts as well), the traumatized dude who gets rescued and is now devoted to the twins (Scarface, That's what I'm expecting him to do but let's see if there are any twists), the super-strict asshole head maid who's actually on the "good" side, the retarded and cliche jealous villain, etc., I swear I've seen "characters" like these a couple dozen times already. Rosa Jr. feels like a twisted schemer who's actually on the "good" side (But idk yet, can't think of an archetype for him).
The twins are cute tho. They're the only reason I'm reading this.
