@mcmatsumoto25 if one of the grannies had dark eyes, it is fairly possible. My sister had blonde hair and greenish-gray eyes. Only one of our grandmother had it before her (and later one of our cousin born with the same features) It has a complicate explanation, which I can't really translate to english. (If I remember, duke Rosea was cousin/relative with the empress, and he has black hair and eyes )
But I don't think the artist thought about this 😅
